These are packs of "platform" style industrial scenery for 28mm wargames (GW style):

There's a few different ones, but the Chemical/Bio-Toxin Plant (name differs with market) is the most impressive:

You can make whole fleets of small-scale spaceships:

Or use them as detail in any number of steampunk/gothic-tech models:

Check out the rest of that guy's site: http://www.ironhands.com/necro.htm#how

The good thing is that they're not terribly expensive, considering how much you get. The Bio-Toxin Plant has over 300 pcs and costs £14: the rest are cheaper.

They're made by a Russian company called Tehnolog, but distributed in the US by IMEX and/or Pegasus and in the UK by Pocketbond under their CONFLIX brand, and there's a slightly different one available under the Urban War brand, all with slightly different packaging. Apparently they're easy to find in the US, but harder in Europe.

These folk stock them : http://www.spiritgames.co.uk/figs/conflix.php

These claim to but don't seem to have any at the moment: http://www.terrascenic.co.uk/page_urban_war_biotoxin_plant.htm

These look brilliant
I think the platform and the power plant would look good as part of a moon base dio with some of my Shado stuff.

Good stuff. A few years back, Airfix tried to break into the wargaming market with a range called "Robogear". They actually seem to have reboxed at least part of this range, as I have two - the "Hexagon" and "Platformer" sets. Still mint in the boxes, as after I got them I lost all interest in Games Workshop stuff.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

I got the Bio Toxin Plant (Urban Mamoth boxing) last year from Evil Mushroom Games, http://evilmushroomgames.com/ box seemed kinda small at first but it is absolutely stuffed to the gunwhales with parts! Well worth the money. Bought some resin lift fan sets off them too, very nice casting.
Love that steampunk choo choo and the space fleets!

Nice one Paul -  I never thought of him, even though I've got some of his lift fans too.

It's refreshing to see reasonably priced wargaming stuff for a change.

Thanks for sharing.

Just looked at these Chemical/Power Plant sets again for the first time in a long time: it seems that a company called Wayland Games has picked up the Conflix boxing and is now selling them in the UK again (they were nearly unobtainable for ages).

Worth a general browse around that site too....

Imex do a couple of generic 1/72nd scale castles that might be useful for conversions: James Bond Baddie's secret base anyone? Not cheap, but then they are pretty big:
