I'm after the apparently quite rare 1/72 Airfix Javelin FAW 9/9R.   I've just scored a T.3 and would like a fighter to go with it.  Does anybody have one for sale?

I made the mistake of purchasing one of the Polish repops of the old Frog kit.  All I can say is, yuck.   :banghead:

I have a 1/72 Javelin in my stash. It's bagged, I think it was Airfix and might even be the FAW9 version! I'll have a look when I get home tonight.

If you Google for these, remember that Heller originally released it and there was a Humbrol boxing too. The one on Ebay is only £17.99

The T3 has had Heller/Humbrol/Airfix boxings, Nick, but the FAW9 was only ever Airfix.

Last time I looked, Collectakit had Heller T3s for £7, but no Airfix FAW9s.

Yes, the FROG kit was a generation or two earlier than the Airfix 9, but it's handy for Whiffponent use sometimes.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Oh, it has been Whiffed but I'd still rather have a better looking model than the Frog repop.

If you were willing to part with it, it would be appreciated.

I can fix you up my list says there's an Airfix one in the pile.
Found it, looks like it was the very first one in that section. No Idea what it's worth.
