You know, just yesterday I was looking at my Revellogram Sabre Dog, wondering what to do with it.

Well certainly can't do that now...

FJ-4s never toted Sparrows, with the -4B being an attack bird (up to 6 Bullpups or a equal amount of air-to-mud stores or a nuke). The F3H-2M did carry up to 4 AIM-7s, though. AIM-9s would be more likely in this case.

Well, it's obvious that they had only 24 SeaSabre Mk.1's.  

What those covetous RCAF procurement officers did with the follow-on denavalized Sabre Mk.7 version was another affair altogether.  Maybe with the demise of the Arrow, and the expense of both the Clunk and the Voodoo, those MPs were a little worried about the point defence of Ottawa, eh?

The SeaSabre Mk.2, the definitive design, lies in another's hands.  Right elmayerle?

Of course, by the mid70's an all weather Scooter was becoming possible.  But I don't think Bonnie, the old girl, would remain viable that long...

Yep, and it's being drawn up before I start gathering and cutting plastic, I want to be sure I know what I'm doing.  I'm sorely, sorely tempted to adapt a configuration NAA tested for the radar-nosed Sabre, a low-mounted horizontal tail resembling the F-100's.

Yep, and it's being drawn up before I start gathering and cutting plastic, I want to be sure I know what I'm doing.  I'm sorely, sorely tempted to adapt a configuration NAA tested for the radar-nosed Sabre, a low-mounted horizontal tail resembling the F-100's.

The low stabilizer is probably a wise choice given the risk of Voodoo-style" "tail blanking" at the high AoA the SeaSabre would require on approach to such a short deck.   This can be an operational lesson-learned from the Mk.1..

I didn't incorporate a tail bumper on the Mk.1, but putting a swept stab down low would probably require it.
