Possible Cold War GB

Now I've been thinking of what GB we could have after the one week GB has finished.

After some of the things that were being said in the 1 week GB discussion I've come to the conclusion that a Cold War GB might prove popular ? If we get around to organise this then I'm thinking it would run from May through July ? That gives some flexibility and room for a third GB during the Autumn ?

Now whilst I am prepared to set the various boards and other admin etc up I will not be running it. Various reasons but the Cold War (and there must be a score of definitions for that term dependent on where you live and your own point of view) is not of any particular interest to me personally.

So I need a volunteer to run it. As said I will offer support but it will be up to you to sort the rules out and keep the whole thing on track. It's not onerous, you just need to keep your eye on the ball and chivy a few people along.

So we have loads of people wanting the return of GB's but do we have anyone prepared to help in organising it ? If so here's the place to volunteer

I visit more than I post, but I'd be willing to help as well.

I think a pair or three GB folks per GB would be good though I can't speak for others, but my job keeps me busy off and on with travel so once in a while I may have less time available than when I'm not traveling.
It takes only one drink to get me drunk. The trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or the fourteenth.

I've never done any admin duty. Not sure if it's a good idea tho with my off and on job. As they say " when you're on you're on, and when you're off you're on. But when you're only half way on, you're really on, not off" lol

But I'd defo be on for a Cold War build ! I'm thinking Phantom already  Or maybe a big tank  :tank:

Names duly noted in my little book. I will be in touch nearer the possible dates. However I would say that the duties are not that onerous.

Once you have agreed what the GB rules are to be, the fewer the better basically, you then need to decide how you want the boards to look ? One board ?, split by build subject etc ? Once that's agreed I can then set them up for you.

After that it's just a case of monitoring progress, answering any queries and generally chivying things along. Not onerous or time consuming but you do need to keep an eye on the thing. Best to check once a day but not absolutely necessary.

As for number of mods ? One has the advantage of being able to make instant decisions, two has the advantage of sharing the load but having to coordinate with your fellow Mod, which can be more difficult then you think, especially given time differences.
