.....and the D pillars added. If I can get two models with roughly the same dimensions it would work.

Being very pedantic and JMN-ish, if it's a 2 door it doesn't have D pillars, they'd be C pillars.

Sadly the present day motoring world, including some of the manufacturer's spokesmen (!) don't understand the pillar naming conventions that were determined decades ago.  :banghead:

A 4 litre straight 6 cylinder Mk 5 Cortina? That's different for sure, over here the biggest engine was the 2.5 litre V6.

In South Africa they put the 3 litre V6 in them and they also built the only Cortina pickups there too, some of which also had the V6 for their market but they only installed 4 cylinder 1.6 and 2 litre engines for export. They called them 'bakkies' over there, and I hired a V6 bakkie for a couple of weeks for one trip when I was there. It went like a ding bat but rode like a breeze block when it was empty!

Not too sure on that, although I've seen photos with V8s in Cortinas, Sierras, Granadas and Capris, but they were privately owned and not factory produced.

Tamiya do the Ford Sierra in 1/24 in the RS500 Gr and XR-4i. Both are three door, so the short wheelbase P100 pickup truck/Ute can be built. In the Real World South Africa and Portugal built these and exported them to the UK .
Tamiya also do the 1/24 Ford Capri Zakspeed Gr5 which I'm going to convert into a pickup truck.
Aoshima do a range of Toyota and Datsun pickup trucks which could be kitbashed or used as donor vehicles.
You can get V8 kits in 1/24 and 1/25 scales, plus wheels and grills.

That was back when Australia was a bit like America - only with longer distances between fuel stops.

Holden, also, put 4.2l (253ci) & 5.0l (308ci) engines in the Torana

Kit here you can get a standard Capri with a 3 ltr V6 which was the high end model but since the this car was meant to be the euro Mustang its engine bay was built right from the get go to take a small block V8 ..thats why its so easy to put on in it and why i did  i mate of mine put a 427 into his one .
eathis ,,yes ,,in South Africa they put 351 5.8 ltr cleveland V8's in XR4i Sierra ,,they also built this death trap Capri ..they mounted the same engine into a standard 3 ltr Capri with standard everything ..suspenion ..brakes ... everything ..this thing killed quite a few people .

Guy .. yup they sure did .. i loved my Cortina cause this thing would do some awesome burn outs and still drank bugger all fuel ..nice and smooth to drive but the power when i wanted it .

Just imagine the size of engine they could have got into a Mk IV Zodiac! Even a V16 would look small in that monster of an engine bay!

The 3 litre V6 had enough room under the bonnet to store the spare wheel as well as the engine and radiator, and the smaller 2 litre V4 was roomy enough so you could get in there WITH the engine as well! I changed the water pump on a V4 by doing just that back in the 60s.

Ford South Africa built 250 Sierra XR8s by putting the 5.0 litre v8 into 4 door Sierras.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Thanks to Kit for bringing the idea of using Slot Cars as Whiffs. Been on Google and they do some cars in 1/24 scale. Most of the European Ford range is covered. Internal details would need to be added and engines but the end result would look good.
