Anyone good with an abacus as my maths skills are lousy. I'm trying to work out if I can take a 1/48 Canberra front fuselage and graft it on to the front of a 1/72 B-36. The Canberra tapers from its widest diameter to the nose so was hoping there might be a point where the twain can meet. Any help gratefully acknowledged.

A 1/72 B-36 fuselage is 2-1/16" [52.4mm] diameter, my 1/72 Matchbox PR.9 is 1-3/32" [27.5mm]. Multiple the 1 3/32 x 1.5 (1/72 to 1/48 ratio) gives you 1-41/64" [41.7mm], so it's a bit undersize by 3/8" [10mm] -- hope that helps
