Well, in 2016 I may build a more simple version: the F4U-15 keeping its normal nose with the pedalling crew inside a wing pod:

These ones (15 and 15Z) had no engine at all, due to the lack of remaining oil (someday) in USA, they were muscular-power all.

Makes perfect sense to me, i've always had to pedal my bolz off to fly with my bmx, don't see why it shouldn't be done to fly aircraft!  ;D :thumbsup:

Thanks! This has been done with succesful muscular airplanes, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gossamer_Albatross but not in the Corsair family up to now ;)
