This is my one and only RW build.  Although i'm sure determined nit pickers could find plenty wrong with it as I didn't try to hard for historical accuracy.
I was inspired to build this after seeing the real thing in the Australian War Memorial at Canberra.
It's completely OOB apart for some additional wire parts on the skids and hard core pornography (the internet is a wonderful place) in the back.
I've shown it at a couple of shows and so far no irate parent has bailed me up following their child asking them "mummy where is that lady putting her fist?".

The kits not bad apart from the "glass" being a scale 2" thick, the rivets possibly being too huge and the figures seemingly being intended for another kit and not fitting where they are supposed to go.  The bloke in the RH seat is pointing and has have the window modified into the down position to allow for this.  I reckon I broke his finger off about 5 times during construction.
This was the first non-car i'd built for at least 20 years so it took a bit getting used to the aircraft way of doing things.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Still a favourite of mine and very beautifully made. Really must put a helicopter together one day. The crew bring it to life .

ps The rotors make very good struts in whiff-world ;).

Beauty. You have done a really nice job with this one. Love the colour and the crew. Now, we need a good pic of the interior

Is this the old 32nd scale Revell kit ? My brother and I each had one in the early 80s, and built them whilst on summer vacation at my Grandpaernts plce. Great fun until we each broke the main rotor shafts, and could not seem to find a way to get it back on ! Shame my Grandfather the avid RC modoller never helped, I'm sure he could have made it bullet proof !

Having flown in the real machine in real life, it looks pretty well done, Zenrat!

Which kit is that? It looks great by any standards, let alone those of a 'First Aircraft' model.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Ooops.  It's the Dragon 1/35 kit.  I did say that but it seems I deleted it while editing my own gobbledegook.
I've got a 1/72 Tamiya Huey to build at some point (with Elhiem figures for crew) and i'll photograph them both together when i've done that.
Thanks Brian, I appreciate that.  I've shown it to a mate who flew in these in Vietnam and he said it looked like what he remembered. He was a mapmaker and went out on patrol with both US and Australian troops.

Big enough for me.  Being a 2 blader though it fits on a narrow shelf.

You could probably display the 72nd scale Huey in the cabin of that one !
