I will have only one day to make my entry (Thursday).  We had the grandchildren Good Friday, Egg hunts and special events yesterday and Easter Sunday and Easter Monday I may get some time if I'm lucky but hoping to get all day Thursday.  Should manage it as I've not told SWMBO that I'm not going to the Citizens Advice Bureau on Thursday as usual as I'm going in Saturday instead.  So no extra duties ... maybe?

Sorted out an Airfix T-34, a bits box and some odds and ends.  Not exactly sure what to build yet.

Robot Wars with full-size tanks? Install that saw blade on the end of the barrel (maybe beef up and lenthen the barrel a bit).

With that title I was expecting something with a 'dozer blade operated by the Australian police, for clearing traffic jams.

Thunderbirds style tree removal tank, like that huge nuclear powered road layer in the original show.

Thanks, tried it on another T34 model but the blade is way too big and hits the hull.  A pity as I thought this a good idea!

Now this has promise!

Nice idea but probably the T34 is a tad small but ...

It is finished!

Decided that a road cross between an Australian road clearer (suggested above), Indiana Jones' type jungle cutter and an APC was in order.  So the T-34 got a superstructure similar to the APCs already in service

The cutter fitted on the front (the Russians in Indiana Jones had 2 cutters)

The result is a rather rusty vehicle - I wanted it to look well used but not very well maintained:

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

That turned out well.

Makes we wonder about doing something similar using one or two real Dremel saw blades (no not motorised...).
