I found in my - small - stash a badly mangled Pioneer Horten 229. I sawed it in 2 and tried joining the halves to various fuselages.
What do the esteemed members think more appropriate?
I used an (old mould) Airfix Sea Hawk, a Revell 1/80 B-57, a Plasticart 1/100 Il-28, and the Trumpeter 1/72  one.
The B-57 should retain tailplaes, I think, while the others would have only fin and rudder.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

I too was thinking of Sea Swallow.
And another I like is the 1/100 Il-28, reminds me of a modern FW 42, I'll have to sacrify another Horten. ;D
But I am afraid there is no way those could be included in the present GB.

The Il-28 just shouts BATPLANE.

I like the potential look of the 1/100 Il-28.

True, now that you made the link, I too see it.
Curious how just inserting a fuselage in the middle of a wing changes the look.

Bury the engines and you have a model of the ultimate development of the DH Comet airliner. 1/200 scale ? BEA colours ?  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Me too. I'd also saw out/off the complete Ho 229 mid section with the cockpit, so that the engines are place directly to the fuselage flanks? Result could be a mini Tu-16?
Cool idea, anyway!

Lovely designs! All of them!

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?
