Is there some 'approved' scource for clear sheet material to make screens these days? I used to use acetate but my stock is long gone and have no idea what's available these days.

I've got some of this but I've not tried it yet:  http://www.squadron.com/NoStock.asp?item=SQ9003
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Yep. I a have a clear thermaform stashed somewhere from better times..... it must be 10 years old, at least. I've also used acetate, of which I have a roll. Both of these materials have provided me with good results, too. The thermaform is, IMHO sturdier after forming.

Kitnut, that link continues to give me a message saying that cookies must be enabled. I take strong exception of that message. This is the Dark Side and we DO have cookies!!!

Just check it Rafa, I get the same message now, it had worked earlier.  I wonder what's up.

Robert and Rafa,

I got that cookies message too, but I ignored it and went to the search box and put in the SQ9003 no. and up it came. At which point I thought 'The devil with getting the stuff from the US with the $/£ rate as it is' and looked elsewhere. NO chance, can't find anyone who sells it in the UK.  >:(

This evenning I was digging through 'The Loft' and found a long lost box (see your PMs Robert.........) and in there was a never been opened pack of Thermoform! I can't even remember buying it, let alone where I got it from.

So it looks like a session of balsa carving tomorrow, and then a session of explaining to Mrs PR19 that I really do need to monopolise the grille for a while, and she may need a clothes peg for her nose....  ;D

Would a Sea King's cockpit glazing be the answer - maybe a Puma or even a Wessex?  I may have some bits in the spares box left over from when I decided that all rotaries were the Devil's Work and disposed of my remaining helicopter kits.  I can take them tp Hendon if you wish.  ;D ;D

Since jogging my memory about this 'Turbo-Shed' in the 'Who Likes OV-10 Broncos' thread I've dug it oout of the Projects Shelf and had another look.

Chrisonord's generous donation of half a dozen or so helicopter canopies looks like it's come up with a winner as a CH-46 Sea Knight one seems to be OK for the job. It'll need a little sawing and trimming but should be good.

I want to see how this comes out as I would like one as a COD bird for my marines task force in Honduras.

You want me to make TWO of them?  :o

Or would you like the plans, of which I have legion!  ;D

I would not be so cruel as to ask you to make 2 Kit, but...... The plans would be nice to have a look at for sure, as I do like small turbo prop transport aircraft.
Cheers

Nice idea! How about the front end of a Do 28 Skyservant? The Matchbox kit or the Revell re-issues should come with small price tags...?

PR19_Kit

I think I tried the Skyservant Thomas, but it's a bit too wide. The nose of the Twotter is pretty well right on, may need a little extension and some filler in the lower corners but otherwise it should work.

Sadly I can't get on with the CV-10 project this week as I'm away from home until the Cosford Show.
