Most attractive!

One A. Onassis Esq  had the same idea.  His yacht, the Christina O, was once a river class frigate.......HMCS Stormont

See below for lots of  (allegedly)  painstakingly detailed research

Just remind me never to sit on the Christina O's barstools.

I remember reading of an old minesweeper that had been converted into a yacht...and was either Italian or Greek.  But my recollection may be off.

John Wayne's Wild Goose was a conversion of YMS-328, a wood-hulled sweeper delivered in May, 1943.
Cousteau's Calypso is a sistership. Both were built in Ballard, Washington with hulls of Douglas-Fir (aka Oregon Pine).

Conversions of various smaller sized military boats to pleasure craft was not unusual following both World Wars.

Recall a story about the restoration on of a British PT type boat that had been use as a pleasure craft since early 50s. Might have been thread here.

Look up 'Yas', a yacht based on a Kortenaer-class frigate  ;D

I can certainly ask my Mother for details but I do know my Great Grandfather had either a PT Boat or something slightly bigger converted into a yacht. He lived out in Greece and his house was 'requisitioned' by the German Navy during the war. When he returned in '45-'46 he found the commander's hat and Luger in his study. There are photos of him with my Mom on the yacht wearing the hat and shooting the Luger at cans floating in the sea ;D

Captain Canada

Have you lost your Mojo...?

HMS Packington was a RN minesweeper built in 1958, sold to the South African Navy and then used in the movie 'The Life Aquatic'. Now a luxury yacht.
