- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Just working on the trolley and waiting for decals from Germany. Think I might make a competitor in Gulf markings.

nice idea: a race between all orange-coloured floatplanes  ;D

Finished. Would have posted these earlier but been having a bear of a time using PB:

She's powered by neither radial or turboprop but by a twinned inline with a cowling annular radiator, exhaust driven supercharger etc exiting via the pipe in the starboard wing root. Maybe this helps to trim the plane from the torque from the massive propeller? Just in case I cut out the rudder tab and replaced it with a larger one ;D.

Also reduced the wing and tailspans, new canopy and 'modernised' the beaching trolley.

As a kind of tribute to the original designers of this incredible plane I put the racing number inside a hinomaru .

Dizzyfugu

Cool build. The canopy is very nice!

NARSES2

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Big Gimper

OMG. This is so cool.

Please send pictures to Redbull. Maybe they will sponsor a new racing category.
Work In Progress ::

Lots of stuff

darthspud

too old for a paper round, too young for me pensions, dammit, back to work then!

PR19_Kit

Excellent stuff there, looks SO good in Jagermeister orange!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Lovely job! A superb machine. I want to see it in action, and hear the engine!

Damn.  Wish I had another N1K1 to build a racer from.

Love it.

Orange!!!    Great build, I'm looking forward to seeing the Gulf liveried opponent.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
