"that is for the people of Leningrad", thought Lt. Yuri Vorenenko as the SP-1000 HE bomb lurched from the bombbay of his Tu-2S attack bomber. Their first mission of the day was a dawn attack on a German supply dump in the Lake Peipus region. This marked the initial stages of the Battle of Narva, February 1, 1944. As his aircraft leaped up without it's heavy load, his reverie was broken by his Navigator/Gunner Pavel, who shouted that they were under attack. Simultaneously, tracers flashed by in front and below, and Pavel's UB gun began hammering furiously. "Now the dance begins", grunted Yuri, as he rolled his big Tupolev to port and into the attack. . .

The kit is the old and simple VEB Tu-2.  Still a fun little kit, but it puts itself into the Whif category by virtue of it's funky profiles  :-\  Originally built for a VVS group build on another site, and shamelessy thrown in here     Subsequent to these photo's, aerials and some paint touchups were done.

Yep, that works.

I like the way you've mounted the bomb on the stand.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Very nice ! Wonder how the dance ended ? I like the way this one looks. Great stuff.

That looks really nice and shows what can be doe with these old kits

I may well pinch the bomb on the stand idea - it's brilliant
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Cap, check out "The Bomber" and I hope you don't mind subtitles, as the movie is completely in Russian and German.
"Mind that bus." "What bus?" *SPLAT!*

Thanks everyone!  A simple kit for a simple builder  :-\ .  Nothing great about it, except it was fun

Captain Canada:  Both Pavel and Mikhail were accomplished air gunners, each holding the Red Order of Marksmanship, and having at least one confirmed kill to their credit  ;)

Narses2:    Please pinch that, I hope this is what the forum is intended for

Nighthunter:  I did watch that movie but without subtitles, so couldn't understand a word they said.  How did you like that 109?  Would fit right in here

Kem
