The latest issue of Airfix Model World (May 2019) has a full build article on Airfix's Skyhawk using the Freightdog A-4C conversion set, Eduard PE and Xtradecal decals. It's a good review, and has lots of useful info in it.

June issue of AMW arrived this morning and it's got a full build article of the Supermarine 327 "Shrew"
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Latest Airfix Model World (August 2023) has a build and review of the Freightdog P.1027 Eagle-Tempest conversion by Matthew Porter.

He had some trouble with it, although this may be partly to do with him not being a 1/72nd scale modeller and also with him not reading the instructions properly! However he was pleased with the end result and it certainly looks good in the photographs.

Thanks Weaver. The article came as a surprise to me, some editors give you notice of an article or review,  normally to try and sell you ad space in the same issue. First I know was when I opened the magazine.

As a result I don't have any left, and I doubt I will for a few months, which is a bit of a missed opportunity.  That said, since the issue went on sale I've only had two enquiries for it.

I'm not sure why AMW gave a kit in the one true scale to someone who normally builds 1/32 aircraft.  Who then (predictably) complained about the parts being too small.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I bet he has to use a crane to locate some of the larger parts on his usual builds.

Goodness KNOWS what he'd say about a 1/144 scale model!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

AMW didn't 'give' it to him at all: he bought it with his own money at SMW 2022. He's not normally interested in What Ifs, so it's good that it caught his attention and imagination enough to make him put his hand in his pocket.

But not enough to make him read the instructions...

Well at least he owned up to it rather than blaming the kit...
