Just watching a very schlocky horror film called Sharknado .Now I wondered if you crossed a Blackburn Shark with a Hawker Tornado you'd have a Sharknado.

Sharknado 3:Oh Hell No! is on SyFy tonight at 10pm, I'll be watching Person Of Interest and Banshee though.

I am sure you will all join me in being totally horrified to learn that they are already working on Sharknado 4! How do these crapfests get greenlit but threre's still no Dredd 2?

Because, they are produced directly by SyFy for their own network and continue to makes loads of money for minimal cost.
It's all in fun, and they have lots of people who want to appear in the silly things.
Normal film production processes/rules simply don't apply.
