With the RAF this would obviously be a Sergeant Gunner and an Officer Pilot (Remote) , tradition ya know Old Boy.

Did the HH-34 ever carry weapons? I've never seen one do so, but then all the ones based here were tasked for airfield crash response and usually carried a big fire retardant tank underneath.

Think you transposed you numbers Kit, but yes a few HH-43 Huskies carried slung door guns in Vietnam. "Browning automatic rifle or .30-cal. machine gun in a door sling" from this site: http://www.historynet.com/arsenal-hh-43-huskie.htm

Not aware of any hard mounted guns or rockets.

Agree with Dizzy and the others on the drag/slow speed on an intermeshing design.  Not so great for an attack helo.  Great for lifting. Allows smaller overall size.  Complexity I say is a wash.  Without a tail rotor you get some survivability benefits.  Many helos have been lost with damage to the tail rotor or tail rotor drive shaft- due to enemy action, debris, striking trees, or parts just tired of rotating around and deciding they have had enough.

Sounds like time to bash a cobra or Apache with a huskie and see what happens!

Darn it, I MUST get a new keyboard, preferably one with letters and numbers painted on the keys.....  :banghead: :banghead:

Thanks for that, I've had an Airmodel vacform Huskie 'in build' for at least 30 years now, and it looks better than the Mach 2 version in that you can see through the acres of glass! I must dig it out.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Gah, a MACH 2 Huskie- I fear that would leave something to be desired- especially with the clear parts...... had to google- ahhh yes- looks like typical MACH 2 glass- I'd say the glass is about 10 inches thick in 1/72 scale.   :-\       a review:   http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/16/t/90861.aspx

Definitely an under-WHIFFED subject....

Weaver

It's not hard to whiff up an egg-beater style rotor system using two Huey twin-blade rotors, plastic card and evergreen tube. I did it for a still-unfinished Skyvan-based helo project:

Only problem with using two Huey rotor sets is that one of them will need to be reversed or both sets will rotate into each other

I wondered where all the Skyvan kits had gone.  Now I know, Weavers got them...

I've been seeing a lot of Skyvans on film & TV recently.  Maybe noticing is a better word.
Last one was painted all over gloss black and was in the movie Kingsman: The Secret Service.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

You gotta get back on that one Weaver ! Such a neat idea, and I love the big square fuselage.

And a very nice card model of the thing, 1/41 scale, more in my price range!

That is a awesome link, some great stuff there!

A free to download Belphegor!!!

But the description is dubious (copied and pasted from page)

PZL M-15 Belphegor
(Demon)
Scale 1:23
Difficulty level 666 out of 5

Interesting link, indeed. Does anybody knows the quality level of the models? I am sorely tempted to buy the Mil V-12.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.
