Hi all,
Finally got home last night after my trip to the Nationals.  Show was pretty good with approximately 3000 models on the competition tables.  Lighting in the room was not the best so ended up using flash for most of the pics (yes, you can tell) but think most of them came out ok.  Includes pics from the Vendors area.

Also did the National Museum of the United States Air Force.  They had a tour out there and I was pretty much able to shoot most of it on that day but stayed in Dayton a couple nights after the show and got to visit it twice more and took some time to read some of the displays.  You really do need to spend two or more days here to see everything.

Also visited a few other small museums in the area.

The Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta.  Interesting little museum with lots of info on Neil.  Not many big exhibits but they did a nice little movie centered mainly on the Moon landing.

The WACO Airplane Museum in Troy.  Several of the planes, engines, propellers and some Glider bits.  Nice little tour on tape (though digital now) to go along with it.

And the Champaign Aviation Museum in Urbana.  Couple of flying planes, info on the WAAFs and a B-17G under restoration.

Thanks a lot - that "Desert Dwellers" collection is unique. Great and interesting idea!

Thanks for sharing.

Well painted figures never fail to impress.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

This one particularly appeals to my sick sense of humour.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

899 pics Phil???  :o

Awesome stuff, it's changed a lot since I was there in the late 90s, for the better I'd say too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Glad you were there to represent. Unfortunately I was headed the opposite direction, to my wife's hometown, to do some adoption fundraising.
