Lots of good ideas. But the lightning is cool enough just as she sits lol

Model arrived yesterday and having opened the box I had a moment of doubt when I thought I'd just build it oob... But if I wanted an oob Lightning id get myself a new tool airfix. So a cutting we will go!

I've got 2 tactics that I might take. No1 is to rotate the model and try to fudge symmetry etc. no2 is to cut a strip out of each fuse half - from the mid point of the top engine to the mid point of the bottom engine. Reattach the top and bottom of each half (essentially make a single engine lightning) and then use a plug to widen the fuselage...

I'm pretty sure I've got a spare fuselage in the stash, been using an old Airfix kit as a donor for one of the Aeroclub T.4/T.5 conversions I have. I'll see if I can find it for you, it would be a lot easier --  ;)
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

That's very generous but I don't think I could accept. I would like to try this as a single donor build. Many thanks though kitnut.
