Went up to the NJ Naval Museum today; unfortunately it was closed and in particular the pier leading to the Ling is falling apart (and the Museum itself is probably still fighting with the North Jersey Media Group who owns the land).  But the grounds were still open, and photos of today's expedition are here.

What an excellent find ! Sorry to hear the state of affairs regarding the site, but the exhibits are rare and surely have great potential !

Thanks for the pics.

Thanks Cap!

I toured the Ling when I was a wee Cub Scout, ages ago, and was looking forward to a new tour when I could appreciate it better.  She's been tied up in the same location for over 40 years.  Its a shame, though that she's neither better recognized or advertised, because the museum could certainly use the recognition.  Especially since she's on both the New Jersey and US Registers of Historic Places

Given your recent shenanigans I think you'd be better of with using the British Autumn mate
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Captain Canada

Thank you for posting the pictures of the older naval vessel museum here in NJ. (There's a bigger vessel museum down Camden way. ;-) )

I started to build a model of USS Holland for the Ling museum; I always meant to finish it, but then I realized I should check if they already had one. I should check with them if they want it.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
