Imperial Iranian Air Force F-16A

Just finished one of my project F-16's.

This is my Imperial Iranian Air Force F-16A.

The Iranians had ordered 160 with options on a further 140.

After the Shar of Iran was overthrown in 1979, the US Government cancelled the the whole order.

Used the old Hasegawa 1/72 F-16A kit for this with the early horizontal stabs from the Revell kit and Hi-decal line decals.

Neat! F-16s in desert colors just look sexy, and this Iranian bird is no exception.

Nice one a cancelled project, makes you wonder where they would be now if they had been delivered pre-revolution ?

Or how Russian/Soviet would look now after they had a look at them........thinking of the F14/AIM54 combo and how the Mig 31 and it's missile combo developed as well as the AH1.......
