Not much of a backstory to this at all. Just went on the assumption that the French started to help the Poles update their forces circa 1938 and one of the types they provided was the Morane Saulnier 406.

So here we have a M.S. 406 0f 113 Eskadra Mysliwska in late 1938. I've gone through the details of the build in my blog but basically it's the Hasegawa kit which goes together well, the Eduard etch which works well until you try and fit the canopy and she's finished with the Hataka Polish AF paint set. It went down hill from there ! Transfers are from a Techmod set and in all honesty were a pig. Stuck like limpets as soon as saw the surface and then when dry cracked and in some cases crumbled. Not had this with their transfers before so may just be a bad batch. As for the varnish problems ? Least said, best mended.

Looks very natural, though. Is that "Polish AF Khaki"? Looks almost like chcocolate brown on my monitor, I'd expected it to be more greenish?

Yup it's Dark Polish Khaki which was normally used on bombers and is a very chocolate brown. The set also includes Light Polish Khaki which was used on fighters and reconnaissance aircraft.

In this case the French got their colours wrong  Seriously I just fancied the darker colour and so went with it. Looked like something the French would have had. There is a French shade very similar to it. I've got a couple more projected Polish 38/39 builds planned so I'll see what the Light Khaki is like, it does look more greenish

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
