Finally got round to finishing another model from the shelf of doom. Posted here to show the paint technique.

The model is completely out of the box and painted with Gunze Sangyo paints.

H305 Gunship Grey then masked the RAM panel lines, then sprayed H301 Engine Grey with a couple of drops of silver, removed the masking tape and lightly oversprayed the panel lines with the engine grey to blend the lines back in.

The only markings that weren't on the decal sheet were the serials so I had a go at painting them in with a hand made stencil.

Enjoy.
Chris.

Enjoy? I did! Lovely job Chris! The idea of masking all those panels really makes me avoid wanting to build a real-world example...which is disappointing given that our Aussie neighbours are getting them...but this gives me hope I can do it! Bravo.

Nice work.
I can't bring myself to like these though.  Not an attractive aircraft IMO and also not ugly enough to love.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Having built this kit, I can appreciate the work.

Was never a huge fan (no pun intended) of it, and certainly not of those monotone markings.  I hope they don't make it into service.

I prefer a bit more colour on my models, lol

If they arrive in the UK with monotone markings they'll get crucified in the media, and by me too!

Terrible, the RAF's colours are red, white and blue. not grey, grey and white!  :banghead: :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

That's funny, the USAF, USN, and USMC use those same colours for their insignia.  ;)

So do the Dutch, French and many other airforces no doubt. This 'stealthiness' can go too far.
