Twenty six years ago I built a 1/10th scale version of an apparatus used for experiments at Colorado Springs in 1899.
Since 1990 I have given, dumped, and lost many things. This model and many of its photographs no longer exist.
I never took any photos of the actual experiment. I was too preoccupied at the time.

Two background pictures of the Colorado Springs experiment station of Nikola Tesla.

My first working Tesla Coil, built in 1986. The arc is actually seen as a single strand which turns on and off many times per second. Photography captures the pulses.
Voltage generated through the medium of air is generally regarded at about 1,00 volts per mm. From memory, this arc is about 480 mm long (480,000 volts).

Here is my fifth Tesla Coil, the 1/10 scale version, as mentioned above.
The original coil was 50 feet in diameter. So the model is 5 feet.

What if the coil was not damaged by overload? What if Tesla was right about transmitting energy around the globe without wires?
Nobody to date has been able to reproduce Tesla's experiments as well as he could. Do I see a glimpse of something new?

I am not asking anybody these questions. They are 'what if's' for me to muse about.
