Great progress mate. It's the size of the strakes, or whatever they are, that attach the engines to the wings that get me  :o

Those'd be the pylons;)
In the case of this kit, Revell have moulded them along with the flap tracks that are inline with
the pylons, that's why they look of an exaggerated length.

KiwiZac

Yip, it's amazing that they're moulded as two halves...massive bits! Unfortunately there's a bit of filling required on the cowling pods so things will slow down a bit. That, and the fact I've been in bed sick all day...

Captain Canada

That's what happens if you get too Dizzy, you end up in bed sick to slow you down

Cheers Jon  I knew they weren't strakes but pylons would not come to mind  :banghead: Getting old. Also glad it's Revell making them look even longer

Yesterday's sleepathon seems to have fixed me, I'm back into it!

No photos today as work was focused on engine paint touch-ups and doing the belly. I'm hoping to tackle the turret this weekend.

KiwiZac

Well, I sawed off the tailcone and started the turret:

However my attention has been taken by two 1/48 Mustang projects - and I'll be roadtripping to see the next newly-restored Mosquito fly either next weekend or the one after - so I'm not sure when you'll see more. All that needs to happen (  ;D ) is the turret, and painting the camo.
