this is my scratchbuild copy of the Australian nuclear power station tour hoverbus, yet another of just a few Anderson studio models to survive today in a private collection somewhere.

An Australian bus would be right hand drive.
Good work though.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

So cool. I'd love to 'drive' that thing around the carpet ! Excellent work. Thanks for the interior shot.

well done on picking that up ,i live in New Zealand and we are right hand drive  too, however this is how the Anderson model makers built it , fun fact the series was produced mainly to please the USA  market so they probably didn't know them selves or thought the Americans wouldn't, in some shots they reversed the film footage as well and they only had decals on one side which was the norm to save costs  , if you google it you will see the model as it is today , funny thing is though i just realized  the steering wheel on mine  has broken off so it looks like the driver is using the force  ;D ;D ;D ;D

the interior it roughly the same as the filming model with no detail as it was shot from ground level only ever seeing passengers heads that were just clay and no lower body , although the models looked great on screen they always found a way to cut costs, and yea it goes great on carpet , some times i just sit and play all day with these things , that's probably how i lost the steering wheel. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I figured they might have done that.  It always drove me mad watching UFO when Ed Straker would stop at T junctions and the give way markings would be on the other side of the road because they filmed in the UK driving on the "wrong side".
Surely American audiences could have coped with the concept of people driving on the other side of the road and were not as parochial as the studio execs thought they were?

Strong medication you are on

Seriously bearing in mind it was probably US sales which paid for the thing (I've no evidence to prove that btw) then it's understandable

definitely, Gerry Anderson said many times that there was ITV England and ITV USA ,and that USA ITV  kept interfering with all his productions ,Thunderbirds was orig going to be English characters, also great actors like George Sewell and Barry Morse were kicked off in replacement for American actors or because they said they were to ugly ,season 2 of space 1999 its really obvious.

Has Anyone Ever Considered Building or Finding out if an RC version of the Hoverbus is Available? the Way it Looks, it Would be Very Cool to see it Zooming around someone's home,Having Fun with Family Pets ;D ;D ;D Just asking. Dan

The Thunderbirds characters accents were a little irritating I found as the characters themeselves seemed to be more English (if you know what I mean ?) with mid-Atlantic accents.

The "real life" series always seemed to be a haven for any US actor resident in the UK and out of work
