Excellent first-hand account by a guy who served on HMS Argonaut in the Falklands:

For those who don't know, Argonaut was hit by two 1000lb bombs which didn't explode, one lodging in the boiler room and the other in the forward Seacat missile magazine. The operation to make the ship safe, while still under repeated attack, was hair-raising to say the least, and this guy was in the thick of it.

Me, I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest.
Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for!!!

One of my Field Engineers was a Chief Air Artificer aboard HMS Alacrity during the Falkands Misunderstanding, and some of his tales of the conflict are positively horrendous!  :o

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
