Green Dragon

JATO was used by some Mexican 727's, think they were with Mexicana. They were built into the underside somewhere aft of the the main landing gear bays.

the team on the trident are totally convinced that Boeing had a key to the drawing office for the trident as their 727 aircraft is what the company wanted to build with the larger engines etc, but were forced by the government to build to a lesser engine size for BEA continental service.

They didn't need a key, a team of Boeing engineers were given a royal tour of DH's facilities during the Trident's early design phase while the aircraft was being designed around 3 x Medway engines.

And it wasn't the UK Government who forced them to shrink it, it was BEA, who, like their longer ranged colleagues over at BOAC, never could make up their minds about what size aircraft they really wanted.  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

as promised the double decked  trident, which is basically a second fuselage grafted on top. sorry about the quality but a scan of a photocopy of a photocopy, the original drawing is missing they think somebody borrowed it and has forgotten to return it
