So here`s a question for you,

Does anyone know if any of the known TSR2 air frames were due to be used for weapon drops and testing?

IIRC, gleaned from the various books on the aircraft in recent years, that the weapons test aircraft were in the plan, but I'm not sure if they were actually 'n build'.

If I can find any of the books in this chaos of a house I'll check later in the day.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

XR221 was to be the first to be fully kitted out with the full weapon system.
But im not sure she was the one slated for  weapons tests.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Kit, in the Avro Arrow book I have it tells of the first five Arrows just being general test aircraft (which were all flown BTW), with the next production batch (with the Iroquois) going mostly to various testing for operation. Did the TSR2 have a similar program ?  What I've read on Wiki doesn't really say as much.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Now that would be an interesting build...
;D

Sorry Kitnut.  Couldn't resist.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Just a quicky to show you what I`ve done so far and the reason for the question.

Scheme is a hybrid of test types for the period and there`s plenty more work to do.
