Best Spitfire Pilots movie ever made?

What's that all about? As soon as it started I thought it was a commercial and it turns out it was, but it must have cost a FORTUNE!

Naturally I was trying to figure out which Mark the aircraft were and I reckon one was a XIV and one a IX, yes?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yes.  Malkovich must have cost a lot.   Interesting story line.

I think so.  One definitely is a Griffon engined version but it has clipped wings...

The Griffon's gotta be a XIV and the Merlin a IX or possibly a XVI. It's way too dark to pick the serials, but I don't recognise either.

Based on Wiki I think it's ML417 (Mk.IX) and SM832 (Mk.XIV) - both owned by Comanche Fighters in Texas.

I like this one (full Spitfire under bridge sequence): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zp7ZJ09fhkk

I have been to that bridge and the flying skills needed were impressive! How he got away with it baffles me!

It's in County Durham should you want to go there.
