I did the Coast Guard version of the Shipbucket flight deck Spruance and then made the sucker out of plastic as well. Still wish I'd cast the hull.

And the model:

Which is slightly more advanced, at least it has a white base coat on it now. Honestly, the air wing is intimidating me. 1/700 aircraft are really tiny, and I decided to make some V/TOL starfighters for this one. Ugh.

Thanks for the how to post photos.
As for Ramp what was stated is current and correct.  So for some errors in posting was using my phone instead of laptop.  As stated the AV-8 is used for Close Air Support along with the Cobra.  However some of LHD had more AV-8 then other aircraft.  Again it driven by the needs of Marines and Mission. In my early career we had to get rid of aircraft usually the CH-53 was the prime mover that moved.  Again the US Navy rather have space then ramps. What they really need is a midsize carrier that can handle fixed wing for longer support mission as well as Harriers and Osprey....  You can also add a redesign or reclassify this project as new midsize carrier. That why I love these ideas.
