QuoteThis damaged Enterprise was entered in one of the contests....
That's not an Enterprise. That's an Akira-class heavy cruiser...
But it's labeled "NX-01 Enterprise".  Plus, the battle damage is pretty close to what it looked like in (I forget which) the episode where they got their can handed to them by the Xindi.

It'd be neat if it was an Akira.  One hardly ever seems to see them in overseas shows.

Nope, not an Akira-class, wrong tech level.  If memory serves me, the NX-01 Enterprise has a similar geometry to that of the much later Akira's, but a much, obviously, lowere tech level and this ship shows that lower tech level, most obviously in the warp drive pods.

QuoteThis An-72 AWACS was on the Russian SIG stand.

I don't know if its real or hypothetical, but it looks cool  B)
That's an AN-71 "Madcap" and it did indeed fly in prototype form, though it lost out to the Yak-44 for the AEW role on Soviet carriers.

The caption for the ST thing said it was from the "Enterprise" TV series.  I wasn't that fussed but I thought all you trekkies might like it :)

The Crusader's from Monogram, 1/48th.
There wasn't room for my RCAF CF-8E® or Israeli F-8E both of which remained under the table.
The South Vietnamese Marines one (with extra underwing pylons/stores) is still "in the paintshop) but hopefully will be completed soon.
RN Crusader....EDSG/Dark Slate Gray/Sky, low-viz roundels, Gulf War artwork, and tail art from a Fujimi 1/48th Tomcat.

QuoteAnd I haven't even mentioned Nick, or should that be Queen Scout?  :P
Shhhhhh - that was meant to be a secret ! :P

Great Pic's Nev as are all the others on the site - brings it all back. I really got my enthusiasm for the hobby back over the weekend, so many idea's.

Shame no one got any pictures of the junior entries in the competition, some lovely models and some nice humour - especially Barbie's pink space tank !
