That's pretty sweet.  What was the kit?  I'm afraid i've never seen the F-107 kit anywhere before.  It must be one of those that's hard to get. . .

What I'd like to see is a wild-weasel F-107, with some goodies donated from an F-105G kit.

The kit is from Trumpeter, is in 1/72, and is a very good kit (especially since it is the only one available).  You can order it from Squadron on-line at www.squadron.com or other good hobby shops.

I agree, a Wild Weasel F-107 would be very interesting, as would a two seater.  Since this is a what if world, anything goes.  A logical progression of the F-107, mirroring the F-105 would be:

XF-107 and F-107A, as built from the kit
F-107B; same general features as the kit
F-107C; two seater, cancelled before production
F-107D; single seater with larger radome for the radar navigation and bombing system used by the F-105D
F-107E; two seater version of the F-107D, not built
F-107F, two seater version of the F-107D, built as both a combat aircraft and trainer, later modifed into a Wild Weasel version.

To modifiy this kit into a two seater is way, way beyond my capabilities; perhaps someone has already done it.

The only plane I remember from WOTW is the YB-49...

Then again, the book's better. And the Jeff Wayne musical is, too!

Here is another photo (by popular demand) of my F-107 in a SAC-type scheme.  I'll post another one in the next message.

Here is a bit closer view of the F-107 - a really interesting design, but one that lost out to the Republic F-105.
