Hi there,
this actually is a prototype build from Krupp with the intent to provide 3th Reich a really huge mine sweeper.
It never leave the factory, only one was build and once captured by US forces disappeared.
I decided to include it in a what if scenery where the monster is tested in a desert area by  Germans.
The scene set is one exsperimental mine field , where red and white sticks indicated the buried anti tank mines.
The long trenched officer blocked the wagon because  it rolled on a mine but it didn't explode, so an engineer is chcking why ,  a medical officier is ready too.
The tank is not yet painted and carries just the red oxide coat , but in the front somebody has made paint test using RLM codes.

The tank was build OTB , scenery is real desert sand mixed with PVA glue.

Enjoy.

Nice job its certainly a beast , I have thought about kitbashing one of these into a post apoc setting

I kinda had that thought as well when thinking of ideas for what to whif my Raumer into. But I decided to go with a moon rover type vehicle instead.
Other possible whifs could include, but is not limited to:
a) Heavy duty firefighting vehicle for use during large forest fires. Add some water spray nozzles, water tanks, and other firefighting equipment.
b) Some sort of heavily armed/armored Police vehicle.
c) Post-apocolyptic vehicle.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Seeing this wonderful build has made me realise what the thing might have actually looked like in action (I've never appreciated from the photos) and I can see either of those ideas, especially the firefighter

Looks vaguely like the crawlers used in the ill-fated Starkweather/Moore Antarctic expedition.
The Leng Plateau is lovely this time of year

With some innovative kitbashing and scratchbuilding, another possible whif idea would be to turn the Raumer into a STAR WARS Imperial vehicle. After all, there were wheeled vehicles in the Attack of the Clones movie and the Rogue One movie. ;)
