So which of the many E-Bays is best for getting a refund from I wonder?

No idea, however you will only be able to get a refund on an item through the company you bought it through, i.e. If you bought through eBay.aus you can not get a refund through eBay.co.uk or the other way around.

It strikes me that although we are all in the same situation Evil-Bay has responded to us in a variety of different ways.  This does not give me confidence in the robustness of their processes.

Perhaps that may have to do with which eBay company each of us is dealing with. I buy through eBay.co.uk where I suspect you buy through eBay.Au each a different company even though they are to most intents and purposes the same. It could also be due to laws within each country being different and eave version of eBay having to deal accordingly, but that part is just a pure guess.

It is a very good guess.  AIUI Australian consumer law is more robust than UK consumer law providing more protection to the consumer.   EvilBay is required to act according to the laws in which country the sale is made.  Downunder, we are treated very differently to the UK/US/Europeans.

BTW, I got my money back some time ago, within 24hrs of asking (about a week after final ETD, so late April).

Interestingly Amusing Hobby doesn't appear to have been able to keep up with the (legitimate) demand from retailers, either, as none of their products seem to be restocked after the initial order has run out.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
