Hey, Folks

Bit short notice, but there's this happening next weekend:

http://www.model-x.org.nz/

Usually lots of fun & lots of quite varied stuff on show.

If anyone is planning on attending, stop by the stand with the 'Eclectic' variety of models & more on show and have a yarn.

(our 2016 display is the middle photo on the bottom row).

Cheers

How come Brenda has her birthday a year earlier over there than she does here?
I smell a conspiracy to get more cake...

Australian Model Expo is being held at Sandown Racecourse in Melbourne on our queens birthday weekend which is 9th to 12th June.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Ah official and actual  ;) Official in the UK this year is 10th June, (could be a busy weekend  ;)) actual was 21st April

I had a girlfriend back in the late 60's who's family were posh enough for her to have an official and an actual birthday. Semi sensible actually as her real birthday was 31st December so they celebrated on 30th June.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Because my real birthday is Boxing Day, 26th December, the folks at work got fed up with me avoiding the traditional 'Cream Cake Lunch', so they appointed July 4th to be my 'Official Birthday' on the grounds that I spent so much time in Minneapolis.  ;D

The very first time that date came round I really WAS in Minneapolis on the day!

Guy I knew at Lancaster Univ. aeons ago was born on 29th February.  At an early   age  he decided he wanted  to celebrate every year on 15th August "...cos I know I'll be off school then...."

Mum's was 24th December. Always thought it's one of the worst days as everyone was so busy. Most people used to get her a "combined" present but I always got her separate ones

Separate is always better - it means you're thinking of them and not using it as an excuse to be a cheapskate...

But of you'd like a SERIOUSLY big pressie it was great to have the 'combined' option.  ;D
