Looks like a Lockheed-Martin advert, what with all that overlayed text about 'Global Dominance' etc.  :-\

Presumably they are the USAF's F-35As?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Correct, USAF F-35A's from Hill AFB.  They will be there a few weeks.

A bit of flag waving and PR to NATO allies, plus a bit of a sales push to those NATO F-16/F-18 operators who haven't signed up to the programme as yet.

However its also a chance for to get RAF Lakenheath accustomed to the type as it will replace some of their Eagles and of course we can expect them to try out the Mach Loop in North Wales for the experience and the customary gratuitous Photo Opportunity  ;D - Expect some excellent photos and videos to appear in the coming weeks
