Soviet equivalent of the 4477th TES?

The USAF had the 4477th TES from the 1960's to the 1980's which was used to test and evaluate captured Soviet aircraft.

What I'd like to know is if the Soviets ever had a similar program to test and evaluate captured American aircraft and technologies?

Hm, interesting that the USAF used the F-110 designation for the MiG 21 when they'd already used it for its original F-4s Phantoms.

One can only suppose that the Soviets had had such an organisation, even if it was on a State wide scale. The Tu-4 programme to reverse engineer the B-29s interned there must have needed a massive operation just on its own, and they later tried to do the same with the U-2, although that work was actually carried out by the Beriev design bureau.

The Soviets/Russians did evaluate several US aircraft captured in Vietnam and brought to Russia, most noteworthy was the F-5.  Also the A-37 and several helicopter and transport types are likely as many type were left as South Vietnam fell.  0-2, CH-47, C-47, O-6, UH-1, C-7, C-130 etc.

There was also extensive evaluation of shot down aircraft, F-86, F-111, F-4, U-2, B-52 etc.

Not sure what units were involved, but Zhukovskiy/Ramenskoye was/is a main testing center as was Chkalov.  This source indicates "One F-5 was extensively tested by Soviet pilots from Chkalov's State Flight Tests Center" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gromov_Flight_Research_Institute   

Chakalov is at Akhtubinsk airfield.  Lots of testing went on there, and is more remote and likely has much better weather than Ramenskoye near Moscow.
