Starling models have announced today that they are working on a 1/700 HMS Ark Royal IV (1978) for Atlantic Models. It will be a resin kit with photo-etch by Peter Hall of Atlantic Models and will have a airgroup of Buccaneers, Phantoms, Gannet, Sea King & Wessex. It should be released at the IPMS UK's Scale Model World this November and price will be confirmed.

So that's a guaranteed purchase for Telford for me  ;D

Even I, a died-in-the-wool NON-ship modeller, am interested in one of them.

I'll open negotiations with the World Bank in the morning..........
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

"dulcet" ..... "Rod Stewart" ..... Not two things I would have expected in the same sentence.

Me to  ;D

Whenever I've seen him live in the last 20 years or so he's just conducted the crowd when it's come to that one in the repertoire

Made me try and remember when I first saw him ? As the Faces (or was it New Faces ?), pub in the King's Road, late 60's or early 70's ? saw so many who then became famous and even more who the world quickly forgot back then that I can't remember.

Be interesting to see it at SMW as I keep looking at some ship models and then walking away. Nearly succumbed at Southern (there's always a mainly ship model trader there) but bought some armour instead
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

And the vid taken through the canopy of an 892 NAS Phantom rocketing toward the ship at 50 ft and 500 kts before it pulled up.

AWESOME stuff!
