LF 1/72 Engine

I am looking for a resin Wright R-2600 engine that will not cost a small fortune or the price I paid for the kit and conversion set I will be using it with.

I have the Academy TBF-1 Avenger and the High Planes TBM-3W conversion set. However there is a new engine cowl provided in the set which is different from the kit part which is moulded with the engine integral to it so I need a replacement engine to fir the new cowl. Although the cowl is intended for the Hasegawa kit of the Avenger I am sure that I can fettle things to get an engine intended for another manufacturers kit to fit.

I have seen some engines on Ebay but the minimum cost including postage is around £12 and upwards which I think is excessive.

Any ideas folks?

This is their 2017 catalogue so afaik they're still operating. (the owner had died but his wife keeps it running with someone else doing the castings)

Quickboost makes(made?) one for the Hasegawa Avenger, €6.00, however they seem to be
very thin on the ground.

They also make a pair of R-2600 for the B-25.

Well, it shows on Scalemates but not in the current E & T catalog, and if it was it'd be a blob with a few
engine features.  I wouldn't be surprised if the mould(s) finally became completely unusable.

As to Aries, most of their stuff doesn't fit, they make them to prototype dimensions scaled down,
and make no allowance for the thickness of the plastic kit parts the resin has to go inside. 

The NeOmega is actually Vector, NeOmega is their EU etc., sales agent. IIRC it's Victory Models in North America.
Vector makes the best scale engines, a little more expensive and they're full engines, which most of the
time don't make sense unless you plan on having the cowling and other bits opened up.

I've found that out the hard way. Lovely resin but getting it to fit your project ?

If someone had something suitable for the Hasegawa version of the aircraft that would be great as that is what the replacement cowling is made for.
