Welsh Models manufacturers the only 1/72 Boeing 737 Wedgetail kit.
This is serious money maybe Freightdog could do a cheaper alternative.
I've tried to find the dimensions of the radome without success and I haven't been able to find a line drawing to scale either.
This means a scratch build with two stabilizers/fins at the rear of the fuselage.
There are many possible whiffs for the Wedgetail the Airfix BAe Nimrod being just one of them, Lockheed P-3 Orion, Dassault Breguet Atlantic or even the Mach2 Sud Caravelle. Not too sure if it would work on the Martin SeaMaster but a DC-10.
I'm sure this would work well in 1/144 scale as the range of donor kits is wider.
Any help would be welcomed.

I doubt it. The market would be pretty small and a 1/72 737 is a BIG model, which is why Denzil's kit is so expensive.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Thanks Kit,
Maybe something retro like a Connie or DC-6. The Shackleton would be an ideal platform.
