1 1/2 hours to spray the plane grey but 3 weeks prior to fill out the paperwork to get approval, carry out the environmental impact statement, risk assessment and HAZID, to audit the mitigation measures identified and then review the paperwork in light of the audit findings.

:o

Can't you just tell that you work, or have worked, in an area that demands such stupid complexity Fred?

I bet Zenrat Industries has no truck with such stuff, eh?

I've worked for both Railtrack and Melbourne Water.

Watching Health and Safety evolve during my 35 years in the steel industry was fascinating now I look back on it. Some people just refuse to believe what was acceptable back in the 80's let alone the 70's  ;)

Mind you there were always two levels - British Steel and the rest. The HSE virtually lived in our plants.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

If the current levels of HSE had exited in the 70s the Advanced Passenger Train would have never happened, and most of the high speed railways world-wide wouldn't be as fast as they are today.

Sometimes regulations like that can REALLY stifle progress.

Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yes.  I sweat, Mrs z shops...  :o

As a Health & Safety professional I have seen a lot of so called OH&S which seems to be there for the sake of ticking boxes, producing paperwork and keeping people in jobs rather than creating a safe workplace.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
