Well I could start with "can you explain your pricing policy please ?", but yes it does look nice and for all I know may well reflect production costs.

Shapeways pricing is a mix of:

- amount of material used
- amount of machine space used
- handling
- markup

In this case, 'amount of machine space' is huge because the wings are attached in their final position instead of packaging the model for minimum volume. The model may be solid (instead of hollow) too, which means the amount of material used is huge too.
