Hi all, I just finished a new project based on the Area 88 manga - The Fang.

If you're interested in reading the scene from the manga that this is inspired by (or looking at my WIP photos) you can check out the project here - https://strobez.ca/wp/index.php/2020/06/05/the-fang-area-88/

My life has taken a semi-expected twist and I am now starting a process to pack up my life and move it back from Seoul to Canada (Edmonton if anyone's local).  So I've been on a bit of a flurry to try and finish off any projects that were hanging around before I have to pack everything in a box and pray the voyage over the ocean isn't too traumatic.

So apologies if I haven't been around much and I'm only really throwing in a few pics at the end, but here they are:

Thanks!

Truly AWESOME work there Greg!

I was wondering what the hell those Crusaders were doing with their wings folded when I first saw the pics, but you've explained it all nicely on your web site. I was pleased to see your MONSTER Tamiya cement pot making a guest appearance too.  ;D

On a bit of a JMN note, I know F-8s CAN fly with the wings folded, one was launched off a carrier like that once, but can they actually fold the wings while they're flying? I'd have thought some sort of a 'weight on the wheels' switch would have been involved in the RW.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Good job.

And good luck with the move.
Don't pack models with vinyl tyres (cars, motorcycles, possibly tanks) in expand polystyrene packing peanuts.  Plasticiser will leach out of the vinyl and react with the polystyrene melting it and making a gooey mess.  You can probably guess how I know this.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Very nice  and best of luck with the move
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks Kit.  I'm pretty sure the fold-em in mid-flight bit is reserved for the funny books.  It's best not to think too hard about this one... such as just how high would a barrier have to go to be a threat to fighter jets on a bombing mission? Or... how fast would that barrier have to come shooting out of the ground to actually surprise a pilot in one of those jets... Why waste a neat idea on things like... logic or common sense...

In fact, when you really start thinking too hard about some of my Area 88 builds... like pilots in MiG-27s being able to squeeze the blood out of their opponent's g-force flight suits by forcing them into an outward-facing loop in "The Bloody Screw". Or, flying Kfirs inverted and shooting a bomb off the underside of a DC-10 in mid-flight... :D :D :D
Thanks!
