While working on all the 1/144 scale MiG aircraft for my Area 51/Red Eagles model displays, I couldn't help but notice the following when it came to MiG aircraft numbers:

All numbers for actual Soviet/Russian aircraft
MiG-15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31

But what about MiG-16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30?  Why do the Russians skip the "even" numbers and only use the odd numbers for their aircraft? I never understood this.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

The odd numbers were for fighters, the even numbers were used for bombers/attack aircraft.
And MiG did not build any bombers after the MiG-6....

The odd one out was the Mig-8 experimental aircraft.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Received an even number being a "not fighter" which was in line with other transport and miscellaneous types
