I'm surprised that there's no plastic 1/72 kit of the Avro Lincoln MkI or Mk2.
There is the vacform kit and two resin conversion kits as well as parts for the commercial freighter and long nosed versions .
For the Whiffer, there are different engine fits in piston or jet powered, commercial sector or Royal Air Force whiffery and future customers.
A twin engine variant appeals to me or a Vietnam War veteran.

600ish were built so it's not too obscure.
And there are enough survivors for Airfix to scan with their LIDAR...

There's been two vacforms - Contrail did two separate toolings, the latter came with some ropey white metal parts and decals. And there's been three resin conversions - DB (now by Flightpath), Paragon and Blackbird.  Red Roo also do some Lincoln parts but I don't know if they do a full conversion.

Airfix would like to do it at some point - there's one member of the design team who wants to do it - but it's not mainstream enough for them to risk the investment in the tooling. Especially with Hornby in a hole with the parasites.

Thanks Guys for the info, there's one in the RAF Cosford Museum which I have never been to, well not yet.
With the anniversaries of the Cold War next year I would have thought this would make it to the shelf.

The Lincoln's just too much like a Lancaster for the mainstream people to do it I'd have thought. The Shackleton is markedly different and it was in service until a relatively short time ago, and that sticks in people's minds.

That uses the Blackbird Models BMA 720027 GAF/ Avro Lincoln Conversion and the Red Roo Models RRR72159:Lincoln Enhancement Set with the long and short noses backed up with text . The pictures are very clear with text of the build process.
