Thought I'd try cross kitting Blackburn Shark and Fairey Swordfish

PR19_Kit

I've always thought of the Shark as a 'value engineered Swordfish'.

It's smaller, neater, looks more aerodynamic with those angled struts, and it still seemed capable of doing pretty much the same job as a Stringbag.

One day I REALLY ought to build that AMT kit.  :banghead: :banghead:

What's the floatplane in the background?

Ah, cheers. Looked very WWI - Bristol monoplane type at first glance.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

zenrat

I was thinking Beaver or Otter or Norseman but they are all too modern (even if vaguely the right shape).

So is that a Shark with Swordfish wings? And what did the Walrus provide?

It is indeed and with a new engine. Walrus was for the ACME pigeon catcher

Looks as if you have a bad case of paint cracking on that upper wing
