Very nice buil and paint .
 I got the two original produced Hal 24 kits to build, do you have some original photos from India ?  There are only a small handful to find online .

No, sorry - I'd have to do web search, too. The website of the Indian Air Force is recommenden, though, they have a photo archive of histroric types.
AFAIK, all Maruts were left unpainted - here and there a camouflaged specimen pops up, it's a spurious museum piece. HAL Ajeets (Gnats) are a good inspiration, too, and when you want something really flashy, search for IAF MiG-21s with training markings.

Many years ago, I wanted to build an Indian Jaguar, but had a hard time to find references. I then wrote the Indian embassy in Sweden that, to my great delight, surprised me with a very book on the subject containing any and all reference I could ever have wished for.

While this was long before emails, it could be worth a try?
