Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

A terrific idea Thomas, and it worked out well despite all the PSR you had to do. I agree about the colour, it's pretty 'washed out' and too pink/orange for real Reds Red. Odd that Humbrol have got it so wrong.

LOVE the idea though, the mind boggles at where the smoke trail would go with some of the possible manoeuvres!  :o

Despite the title that's not a Sea Harrier, the Spanish Navy never flew them.  :banghead:

Yeah! they flew AV-8A'a and AV-8B's (basically the same as USMC Harriers)

I agree with Kit though

I like that a lot. I've sometimes wondered how much a four or six ship Harrier Red's could wow the crowed with their special maneuvers.

Humbrol have recently added a new colour, 238 Arrow Red that's a deeper colour.  It came around after the new Hawk kit was introduced, so they still have the callout for 174.  I personally feel Red Arrows colours vary hugely from photo to photo (as does your Harrier) and 174 looks fine to my eye.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I used 238, and it is lighter/brighter than 174, even though the tone is similar.

For sure the entire crowd would need hearing aids afterwards.............  :o

1(F) Squadron had a four ship Harrier display flight in their early days, but they didn't all hover at once.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
