So AoA on landing?

How would ANYone know? The Pancake never flew!

The V-173 Zimmer's Skimmer did fly, and proved the concept.

Indeed it did, but the XF5U-1 didn't............
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

QuoteTake off, more likely.
Visibility over the nose is highly important for landing, despite the fact that the F7U's nose had to be jacked up for takeoff

It sort of did... admittedly it was more of a hop than a flight :D

BTW: I'll ask a guy I know on another forum about this
That being said, I'd like to remind everybody in a manner reminiscent of the SNL bit on Julian Assange, that no matter how I die: It was murder (even if there was a suicide note or a video of me peacefully dying in my sleep); should I be framed for a criminal offense or disappear, you know to blame.
